Scammed of Rs 6 lakh by fake bride, man wins Rs 60,000 from matrimonial platform | Legal News

A Kerala district consumer commission has directed a mobile matrimonial platform to pay Rs 60,000 compensation to a man who lost over Rs 6 lakh in a scam by what he thought was a genuine wedding prospect and spent 45 days talking.

The Kannur District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission president Ravi Susha, members Moly Kutty Mathew and Sajeesh K P were hearing a complaint filed by Kannur resident who alleged unfair trade practice and deficiency in service by app based platform ‘Jodii Matrimony‘.
