Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha on Monday (May 18, 2026) inaugurated a new ₹2.75-crore building for the Two Town Police Station in Srikalahasti, Tirupati. She said the State government was giving special priority to the safety of devotees visiting the temple town, and that security measures were being strengthened so that they did not face any difficulties.

The Home Minister said the new building had been constructed using modern technology. “The government’s goal is to make police services more accessible to the poor people in the ease of doing governance. The complaints made by the people are registered online immediately and they are being continuously monitored until resolved,” she said.
She said technology was being used to monitor the progress of bike thefts and other cases registered through a single digital dashboard. She said the AP Police was always at the forefront in resolving the problems of the people. She congratulated the District SP for his role in constructing the new building.
