Trainee officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) who cleared the Union Public Service Commission’s Civil Services Examination (CSE) in 2025 and have been allocated Tamil Nadu cadre called on Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay at the Secretariat in Chennai on Tuesday (May 19, 2026).

A total of 11 trainee IAS officers met the Chief Minister and held a discussion with him. Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar was present during the meeting.

Separately, Preetha Reddy, executive vice-chairperson of Apollo Hospitals; Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals and senior executives from the Apollo Hospitals also met Mr. Vijay at the Secretariat.

Trans-rights activists and social activists also called on the Chief Minister and held discussions with him. Officer-bearers and members of various associations of persons with disabilities also met the Chief Minister.
